Take a look at some of the most loved on-campus jobs:

Arts Events Manager in the Office of Performing and Visual Arts

“I began working as the arts events manager in the Office of Performing and Visual Arts. It is my job to coordinate and organize the logistics for all student recitals that happen on campus. It is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in arts management. Sometimes, arts management jobs will require a few years of experience for applicants. Working in this office, I will graduate with that experience, putting me ahead of my graduating peers who must seek this experience before applying to the same jobs. Also, suppose you want to work as a performer. In that case, the front-of-house, management, and marketing experience makes you a more marketable performer as someone who understands the work that happens off the stage to make a performance possible.” — Emily Halfmann ’25, music and musical theatre major

Athletic Training Student Worker

“I had the awesome opportunity of doing a work-study in the athletic training facility. This has been such an amazing experience and has given me a chance to connect with the incredible athletic trainers here on campus. I’ve been able to participate in shadowing to learn new things about my future career and ask questions!” — Abigail Davidson ’25, allied health science major

Career Ambassador

I am now working in The Aspire Center as a career ambassador. In this role, I serve as a front desk receptionist, plan events like the Career Fairs or Declaration Celebration, work on individual projects designed to give me experience in potential careers, and act as an example for students regarding My Aspire Plan (MAP). I love working in The Aspire Center.— Tessa Baty ’26, English major

Gallery Attendant

“I have worked as an art gallery attendant. Because of this art-related position, I have developed a further interest in the visual arts.” — Kelsey Spofford ’25, communication and art history major

Interfaith Community Builder

“One job I have on campus is co-coordinating Interfaith Lunch through the Center for Faith and Spirituality. Interfaith Lunch brings people with all different backgrounds together to broaden our knowledge of faith and spirituality, or the lack thereof.” — Mara Lysne ’25, marketing and management major

Intern with the Firebirds Broadcast Crew

“I have an on-campus job as a member of the Firebirds Broadcast Crew. I have mostly manned the cameras this semester, making sure the output of the livestream or video goes smoothly. However, aspects such as graphics and replay are much closer to my major, interacting with an interface to change the video output.” — Joseph Fudali ’26, computer science and game development major

Peer Tutor

“As a math and physics tutor, I have been able to share my knowledge and passion for these subjects with fellow students. Assisting my peers in understanding complex concepts, working through problem sets, and building their confidence has been incredibly fulfilling. It has reinforced my understanding of the subjects and cultivated my ability to communicate ideas effectively and adapt to different learning styles.” — Hector Rauda ’25, math and physics major

Student Ambassador

“I’m a student ambassador here on campus. While it’s not related to my major, it’s still been an awesome experience getting to meet prospective students who are interested in musical theatre and other performing arts majors! Giving tours and mingling with students has been a really awesome experience. I love getting to know their stories and hearing what they want in a college.” — Emma Faucault-Miller ’27, musical theatre major

Student Writer in the Office of Marketing and Communication

“I have an on-campus job working as a student writer for the Office of Marketing and Communications, which entails a lot of research into the Carthage community and its students. While I am not a marketing or communication major, I always love to learn more about the different facets of business as that may be my career path outside of college.”  Lorin Bucur ’25, Chinese, finance, and international political economy major

Student teaching

Urban Teacher Preparation Program Intern

“I’ve been lucky enough to work in the Urban Teacher Preparation Program office here on campus. Professor Siovahn Williams and Mrs. Brumond-Smith are great employers, and I feel like I’ve gotten to learn much about the local education works in Kenosha. We’ve put on a few different events this year, such as Teacher Appreciation and the Urban Education Summit. I’ve gotten to meet the students from the schools we work so closely with through their tour dates and have gotten to play trivia and connect with them.” — Madison Payne ’26, history and special education major
